I am currently in a season of growing, learning and healing.
This is a time for me to really lean in, be still and receive from God.
One story that I love connecting to is in the book of Luke.
Luke 2 talks about Jesus’s early years as a baby and as an adolescent.
I especially love Luke 2:41-51 because it tells the story of a 12-year-old Jesus traveling with his parents to the Festival of the Passover.
When the festival was over, Jesus’s parents left but Jesus wasn’t with them. They had traveled quite far before noticing that He was missing. They then, turned around and went back to look for Him.
After three days, His parents found Him in the temple, listening to and learning from the teachers.
When reading this, I picture a young Jesus, eager to know more about God but also excited to share.
And I relate to this story so much because that’s exactly where God has me.
I’m learning that before I can begin sharing, I first have to be a student, just like 12-year-old Jesus.
I literally prayed to God and asked Him “How can I spend more time with You?”
His response: “By just being and receiving.”
So, once God tells me I’m good and ready, I can’t wait to share with you all, all that I am learning.
My hope is to encourage, guide and inspire.
On that note, I’ll end with this:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
