Suffering is humbling, sometimes humiliating.
Thoughts like, “I’m less valuable because I’m without. Less wise because I can’t think my way out. I’ve lost control and now I’m behind.”
Being here leaves you naked. The identity that never belonged to you unravels.
But in this place of absence, revelation arrives. Not of what’s gone but of Who remains when there’s nothing left to cling to.
Gentle whispers from Him sound clearer now. The voices of a noisy world, voices that merely taught you how to survive, are stilled. His presence, now louder and unmistakable.
Who you’ve always been is laid bare, and not yet fully formed.
The process of restoration begins and stretches to eternity. A sacred union forms. He who knew you dines with you. Sits with you. Quietly holds you.
He who sees, reveals more of Himself. He who heals, reintroduces you to yourself through His eyes.
In being stripped, you didn’t realize you we’re becoming rooted, unshaken, immovable because you met The One who redeems. You’re planted in Presence, growing in understanding of what it means to be loved.
And now, you carry what He’s forming in this place. Living surrendered. Bearing witness to truth.
Moving in faith and walking freely in tandem with The One who met you when nothing else could hold you together.
And so it is.
